Following the recent publication of the Inter-Departmental Group: Future Investment in Childcare in Ireland, the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs is today publishing the reports of the consultation processes that fed into the Group's deliberations. The Department hosted an Open Policy Debate on 31 March, and organised two online consultation surveys. The first online consultation was designed to gather the views of stakeholders with a particular interest in the early years and school-aged sectors, and the second was aimed at seeking the views of parents and guardians. The results of the consultations were very helpful and were taken into account by the Inter-Departmental Group in its work. The reports were prepared independently by the Centre for Effective Services on behalf of the Department.
