OBJECTIVE: To describe the epidemiology of Candida bloodstream infections (BSI) in Northern Ireland. METHODS: Retrospective collation of data relating to all clinically significant BSI in a university teaching hospital, which had been recorded prospectively, between 1984 and 2000.
