Aims & Objectives:
This article discusses if the generic emergency duty team is the most appropriate model for dealing with all social services emergencies out of normal working hours
Abstract:
The Climbié Report 2003 has suggested radical reforms in relation to how child protection services are organised out of hours. The impact of this will be felt in Emergency Duty Teams throughout the UK leading those involved in commissioning child protection services to ask whether the generic emergency duty team is the most appropriate model for dealing with all social services emergencies out of normal working hours.
