This article reports on the importance of educational initiatives in improving the mental and physical health of people living in deprived communities as discussed in a conference at the Europa Hotel in Northern Ireland.
Abstract:
The article reports on the importance of educational initiatives in improving the mental and physical health of people living in deprived communities as discussed in a conference at the Europa Hotel in Northern Ireland. Large numbers of children from west Belfast's Shankill Road area left school with no qualifications. With this regard, the health service build social capital by providing training and employment opportunities for the community.
