This article reports on the funding pledged by Education Minister Ruane to boost extended services offered by schools in Northern Ireland.
Abstract:
The article reports on the funding pledged by Education Minister Ruane to boost extended services offered by schools in Northern Ireland. The funding will go towards creating a range of before-and after-school activities and developing strong links between schools and community organisations. The Department of Education has fully recognized the importance of the extended schools programme in eligible schools with high proportions of socially disadvantaged children.
