Abstract:
The article provides information on the domestic violence outreach scheme (DVOS), the risk assessment procedure being used in Northern Ireland to help measure risk and make decisions about child protection issues presented by domestic violence. The DVOS was introduced in 1997 and has developed several services, including carrying out recovery and safety work with women and children who were still in a violent relationship.
